Tim Young
VP, Social EnterpriseProviding the creative vision for Socialcast and its technology, Timothy brings nearly a decade of web development experience and over 8 years of entrepreneurship to the company. His prior venture, Event Robot, developed online communities for consumer-facing brands in the entertainment industry. Timothy's interests include emergent processes and behaviors, flock theory, connectionism, and collective intelligence, all of which are integrated into the Socialcast product. He regularly speaks about social networking and collaboration at industry conferences and guest teaches at the University of California, Irvine.

Joan Bodensteiner
Senior Director of MarketingJoan drives product marketing strategy for Socialcast, VMware’s enterprise social networking platform. Prior to joining Socialcast, Joan served as the Director of Product Marketing for Design and Digital Imaging at Adobe Systems, Inc., and held numerous positions in advertising and marketing in interactive agencies working with a range of brands including Amazon, Apple, Intel, American Express, Frito Lay, Pizza Hut and others. Joan holds an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business and Management, Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Tippie School of Business, University of Iowa.

Sean Cashin
Director of EngineeringI am one of the senior engineers at Socialcast and have been focusing primarily on our On Premise solution. I graduated from University of California, Irvine with a degree in Informatics, where I helped out with several social networking related research projects.

Cameran Evans
Chief Data ScientistCombining advanced analytics with business acumen, Cameran leads the Socialcast by VMware Data Science team. Cameran is responsible for leading all data efforts on the Socialcast product, using big data to inform and create new products as well as mining customers’ community data to help them optimize their investment. A veteran of the business intelligence community, Cameran was previously with Disney Parks and Resorts where she drove significant revenue growth through pricing and product optimization. She holds a degree in Economics/Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara and graduated at the top of her MBA class at UC Irvine.

Lars Klevan
Staff EngineerLars is a Staff Engineer at VMware with professional interests in software engineering and Web application development. He holds his undergraduate degree in Computer Science, with honors, from Brown University. Before joining Socialcast, Lars held positions as a senior member of the technical staff at Oracle and Digital River. Other professional interests of Lars include developing e-commerce and large scale social networking applications. When not working, Lars can be found reading, watching movies and spending time with his family.

Van Miranda
Software EngineerVan is a Front-End Engineer at Socialcast with a focus in JavaScript and client-side development. A graduate from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in regional development, Van continued his education at UCSD achieving certification in Ajax application development. Before joining Socialcast, Van spent six years building web applications for the Chief Scientist office at Qualcomm, Inc. His interests include JavaScript performance, jQuery, Object-Oriented JS, as well as traveling and exploring San Francisco.

Mike Louie
Internal Communications ManagerMike is VMware's Internal Communications Manager and publishes best practices, protips and spotlight interviews of Socialcast power users. He obtained his juris doctorate degree from Syracuse University and studied marketing communications from Santa Clara University. When Mike's not working, he is bottle-feeding, changing diapers and loving his newborn twins.

Marc Fenner
Senior Business AnalystMarc Fenner joined VMware in April 2011 as a Senior Business Analyst in the IT Applications organization focusing on communication and collaboration projects. In this role Marc manages IT projects and serves as a liaison between the business and internal developers and/or external vendors. Recent projects include the introduction of Socialcast, custom SharePoint based apps, and enterprise search powered by Google. Marc joined VMware coming from SAP where he held various business and IT operations roles over a span of seven years.

Sean Walbran
Staff Performance EngineerSean is a Staff Performance Engineer at Socialcast, working on making anything and everything faster, more efficient, and more scalable. With a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Dallas, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Minnesota, he has professional experience in computational physics simulation and global e-commerce research, infrastructure, and development. Sean also enjoys travel, linguistics, spending time with his family, playing soccer, and bicycling.

Geoff Hichborn
Software EngineerGeoff is an engineer at Socialcast who's worked on just about every part of the Socialcast infrastructure, from client-side Javascript, to the underlying system tasks that control the operation of the On-Premise offering. He earned his bachelor's degree at University of California Riverside, and his interests span system architecture design, performance tuning, virtualization, open source development, library design and code aesthetics. Outside of software development, Geoff enjoys snowboarding, camping, and road trips.
