In talking to people about enterprise social networks, we often hear a lot of confusion about what an ESN offers versus popular social networks like Facebook and LinkedIn. One big difference is that ESNs like Socialcast offer companies complete control of their community. You choose the features, policies, security levels, whether to deploy behind the firewall or in the cloud, and what to do with the data.
